Making Waves on Campus with Briana Iannelli
Last year, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses! Below, meet Briana Iannelli who is studying at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania!
What are your favorite Beachwaver products?
I absolutely love my Beachwaver Pro 1.25 and Beachwaver S1. I alternate using them for everyday beach-waved hair! Aside from those tools, the Be Strong Pre-Shampoo Reparative Foam, Stay Strong Reparative Shampoo and Conditioner are my favorite hair care products by far. I lighten my hair, so these products have kept it so healthy and shiny! I also have to mention the BRB Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner because it keeps my blonde looking salon fresh.
What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
My favorite part is learning new ways to use hair care and products from celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa. It’s so awesome being able to connect with her and her team and meet other girls who love the brand just as much as me! I also have to admit that I love creating content using Beachwaver products. I’ve always loved styling my hair while taking care of it. It's so much fun being able to genuinely share what I learn with family and friends! Follow me at @breeiannelli! What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
I graduate from Kutztown in the Spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and a minor in Social Media Theory and Strategy! After some Corporate experience and a Master’s in Digital Marketing, I plan to start my own Digital Marketing Firm 10 years from now.
What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
2020 has been an obstacle in itself. I understand that everyone has been affected differently and experienced individual hardships. At the beginning of the year, my mom had surgery to remove a cancerous cyst. Towards the end of her radiation treatment, the pandemic started to shut things down across the nation. In March, I was sent home from school and continued to take five classes, an internship, and work as a social media assistant remotely. As my mom continued to recover, I helped as much as I could around the house! Looking back, I was able to get through all of it by staying motivated, organized, positive, and taking one day at a time.
What is your life motto?
“Work now, play later.” When I asked my brother for college advice, he told me that motto. I’ve been living by it every day. I look at it this way: If I finished any schoolwork or tasks in general during the week, I could do whatever I want on the weekends; like relaxing, shopping, or spending time with friends and family. It keeps me motivated to finish my responsibilities by not procrastinating.
How do you define success?
To me, success not only about achieving your goals. It’s about being organized, a leader, on time for occasions, inclusive, motivating, and not being afraid to fail!
What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
I’m guilty of keeping things simple with my hair. I’ve always been blonde; As I’ve gotten older, it grows in darker. So, I’ve lightened it by getting partial or full highlights and balayage! I’ve rocked the top bun with a braid down the middle of my head a couple of times.

I am donating to Mother's Cupboard. They provide groceries and toiletries to families in need in my town!
