Stylist Nikki Cagle (@thenikkicagle) has been using her Beachwaver irons (she has all three sizes!) for years. As a hairdresser specializing in bridal and event styling, she says she needs tools she not only can trust, but that provide the best, long-lasting results (her brides need their style to last through photoshoots, ceremonies, and all-night dancing, after all!)

“What I love most about [the Beachwaver] is that it creates the best curl memory so your hair bounces right back up after brushing. I can't tell you how many brides text me the next day and tell me their hair STILL looks incredible.”

We caught up with Nikki to talk about her personal hair routine, her favorite Beachwaver tips, and how it’s changed her wedding hair styling game.

As a stylist, what do you look for in a hair tool?

Protection, reliability, ease of use, and longevity. As a stylist, I have to use tools that I can trust—tools that aren't going to crap out on me in the middle of a wedding, or that I have to re-buy every wedding season. I've been using Beachwaver for years, and I've only replaced one—and that's just because I wanted the new [white] dual voltage because it's GORGEOUS for weddings! If I had a dollar for every client, friend, or girl on the street that asked, "What is that, and where do I get one?" I could have endless Beachwavers for life ;-)

What is your hair routine? How does the Beachwaver fit into this routine?

I wash my hair maybe once a week, almost always air dry, and then hit it with my Beachwaver of choice for the day. The S1.25 has been my go-to for a couple of months now, but every now and then I mix it up with the S1 or the [Coast Pro] Titanium flat iron! Honestly, my daily hair routine is pretty simple because once I Beachwave once for the week, it holds so well that I may have to touch up some front pieces, but for the most part it's set.

How do you choose which Beachwaver to use for different occasions?

S1.25 for an everyday look; S1 for special occasions, when I want to feel a little more gussied, OR in the summer because it gives such a true beach wave; S.75 when I'm doing a themed style (like a ‘70s look or old Hollywood glam!) The S1 is my absolute go-to for wedding hair—it's all I use [on my clients]!

What do you love most about the Beachwaver?

How easy it is to use…and it's SO quick—I literally say to myself sometimes, ‘I don't have much time to get ready... so I'll just Beachwave really quick.’ I also don't know how you guys do it, but it literally gives the best hold. It creates the best curl memory so your hair bounces right back up after brushing and softening the curl. I can't tell you how many brides text me the next day and tell me their hair STILL looks incredible.

How has your life changed since purchasing a Beachwaver?

I honestly don't even remember life without it—and I don't ever want to! Wedding hair goes MUCH faster and holds much longer, so my clients are happy. And hello! I'm also no longer killing my wrist from turning a traditional iron or twirling around a wand all day!
