LOOK #1: DOUBLE HALF DUTCH BRAIDS

Step 1. Create a deep side part. (Tip! Draw a line back from the top of the arch of the eyebrow to create a perfectly placed side part!)

Step 2. Prior to braiding, apply Braid Balm to strands to create a clean, frizz-free braid!

Step 3. On the non-dominant side, take a small section of hair right above the ear, and create a half Dutch braid. To do so, you take the section from the root on the top of the braid, and the bottom is a regular style braid.

Step 4. Once you reach the base of the head, transition into a regular three-strand braid. Secure with a small elastic.

Step 5. Right above the first braid, create another thicker half Dutch braid in the same pattern.

Step 6. Once you reach the base of the head, transition into a regular three-strand braid. Secure with a small elastic.

Step 7. Pancake the braids by gently tugging on the outsides of the braid to give it more volume.

Step 8. Prior to curling, protect strands with Great Barrier Heat Protectant Hairspray.

Step 9. Using the Beachwaver B1 from the Neon Collection, section hair and begin curling 1-2” sections, starting at the bottom and working your way up. (Tip! Leave out one inch from the bottom to create a beachy wave!)

Step 10. Once all hair is curled, wait for the curls to cool entirely before styling! Using your fingers, gently break apart the curls. Spritz with Second Chance Dry Shampoo to create more texture.

Step 11. Accessorize the braids with small hoop earrings, feathers, and any other creative pieces you like!
