Making Waves on Campus with Carli Brennan

In 2019, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses! Below, meet Carli Brennan, who is studying fashion business management at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City!

What is/are your favorite Beachwaver product(s)?
The Beachwaver S1.25 is my favorite iron for loose, everyday waves. I also love my BRB Blonde shampoo and conditioner to brighten up my natural blonde — it also smells amazing!

What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
I love being in Campus Wave because of all of the wonderful people I have met and the opportunities I have had. Campus Wave even led me to an internship at Beachwaver where I got to work behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week and New York Bridal Fashion Week!

What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
My dream job would be to work as a fashion and beauty editor at a magazine, specifically Cosmopolitan. I would also love to design my own clothing line. The career path of Rebecca Hessel Cohen, AKA the designer of LoveShackFancy and former style editor of Cosmopolitan, is my ultimate dream

What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
Recently an obstacle I have been faced with is a lot of rejection. It feels like I have applied to countless internships and jobs and nothing has stuck so far. I’ve learned to not let the rejection affect how I feel about myself as a person and to remember that it isn’t as personal as it feels.

What is your life motto?
My life motto is to treat everyone with kindness. It sounds so cliche, but it is true that you never know what struggles someone may be dealing with below the surface.

How do you define success?
To me success is being happy with what you have and not letting what you don’t have affect you. If I know I am doing my absolute best, I feel successful.

What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
In high school, I dyed the ends of my hair pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in honor of my amazing mom, a breast cancer survivor. You can follow me on Instagram @carliannescloset to stay connected and see all of my fashion favorites!

As a Campus Rep, Carli was offered the opportunity to donate product to her charity of choice!
