Making Waves on Campus with Katelyn Caldwell
Last year, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses! Below, meet Katelyn Caldwell who is studying at Arkansas State University, in Jonesboro Arkansas!
What is/are your favorite Beachwaver product(s)?
My favorite beachwaver product is definitely the B1/S1! I have shorter hair, and It helps me look date night ready in under 15 minutes!! It is the best tool that I have ever owned hands down.
What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
My favorite part of being a campus rep is meeting lots of new people that reach out because of my content, and creating the content to share with other people! I definitely didn't expect it to be as much fun as it is, and I LOVE what I get to do!!! It's amazing seeing how much a good hair day can change the way that people feel about themselves!
What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
10 years from now I hope that I am getting to travel to different places for a nursing company! Being in Nursing school can be stressful sometimes but focusing on my future career goals 100% makes it worth it! ( FUN FACT: I love to travel, and so when I picked a future career I wanted something that was going to be super flexible with that! I think it's so important to include what you love in your future career :) )
What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
I would definitely say moving away from my family! I think with anyone that grows up in a super loving community, it's hard when you start out on your own for the first time! I overcame it by getting connected and meeting lots of new people! I can be kinda introverted sometimes, so even just showing up to events can sometimes help the *lonelies* go away! Plus when you go to events and things you get to meet people you might have never talked to before! One of the best pieces of advice someone ever gave me was to "show up, be present, and try new things!" -- that's part of how I came to be involved with The Beachwaver Co!
What is your life motto?
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift!" I definitely am a huge movie gal so when I heard this in one of my favorite childhood movies, it stuck! It just reminds me to leave things in the past, and live each day to the fullest, because we never know what the next day brings!
How do you define success?
I guess I define success by whether or not I did my best and achieved my goals! I like to celebrate my successes and learn from my failures, so that I'll know how to best succeed in the future!!
What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
OOOOH! The craziest hair trend I've ever rocked... I don't know that this is considered rocking... but I for sure had a crazy short bob when I was younger! I was super tall and danced, so I had my hair pulled back in clips during practices, and idk I thought it was cool and different. However... I WOULD NEVER DO THAT NOW haha!
Also, if you have ever thought about representing a company, I would recommend The Beachwaver Co. times ten thousand. This has FOR REAL been one of the best experiences ever, and has made me want to do so much more!

I am donating to Project Beauty Share because I love their mission! Project Beauty Share provides personal hygiene, cosmetics and beauty products to non-profit organizations who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness and poverty to help restore hope and dignity in their lives.
