Making Waves on Campus with Jordyn Tons

Last year, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses! Below, meet Jordyn Tons who is studying at the University of Oregon!

What is/are your favorite Beachwaver product(s)?
Beachwaver S1: This was my first Beachwaver, and it is what made me fall in love with the company! It also helps to save time when curling my long hair, and it is so easy to use.

Braid Balm: I love using it overnight to get heatless waves in the morning, and when I put my hair in a bun to tame any flyaways.

Scrunchies: I love these when I put my hair up in a bun because it doesn’t damage my hair.

What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
I love being a member of the Campus Wave team because it has allowed me to share my love for the Beachwaver brand! I have also learned so much about social media and building a brand.

What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
In 10 years, I hope to have my own dance studio to teach kids of all ages how to dance. I have been a dancer for 11 years, which made me want to major in dance and what motivates me to work hard to share my love for dance with others.

What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
I love dancing, but I have had to overcome many injuries, which is really hard since all I want to do is dance, but I also have to listen to my body so that I don’t push myself too far to where I can’t dance anymore.

What is your life motto?
Everything Happens For A Reason

How do you define success?
Success, to me, is when you are doing what you are passionate about while still supporting yourself. I think that success is nothing unless you are happy.

What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
I haven’t tried any hair trends, but I wore my hair in a donut bun almost every day in fifth grade. To this day, I always have my hair up in a bun unless it is curled with the Beachwaver because it is so long, and it gets in my face.
You can find me on Instagram @jordyn_tons. I would love to chat about anything related to the Beachwaver, the Campus Wave program, dance, or the University of Oregon, so feel free to reach out!

As a Campus Rep, Jordyn was offered the opportunity to donate product to her charity of choice!
I am donating products to a couple local hospitals since all of the nurses and doctors have been working so hard to fight the pandemic!
