Making Waves on Campus with Kate Vittore

Last fall, The Beachwaver Co. launched our new college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses!

Below, meet Kate Vittore who is studying at The University of Iowa!

What is your favorite Beachwaver product?
So many to choose from! My top three have to be the Beachwaver S1.25, Second Chance Dry Shampoo and Bondi Beach Day perfume.

What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
The ability to be creative and use social media marketing! I have so much fun sharing information about the products and the company as a whole.

What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
Working in product development for an organization I'm passionate about! I also love the idea of having a passion project and being a best-selling author or entrepreneur.

What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
Although I love college and being on a great campus, it's not always easy being away from home. I am very close with my family and love the Chicagoland area, so being in another state for the past four years has definitely challenged me to be more independent and maintain the relationships I have back at home!

What is your life motto?
Mind Over Matter (also the name of my favorite song of all time by Young The Giant).

How do you define success?
Being happy and doing something you love. As an (almost!) college graduate, I'm really looking to start my career somewhere that will lead to long-term happiness and being passionate about what I do!

What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
Hot pink streaks. I got them with my friends in elementary school to support Breast Cancer Awareness month—they were awesome!

If you’re interested in joining the Campus Wave, follow @thebeachwaver on Instagram, and check back this summer to apply for fall 2020!
