Making Waves on Campus with Kimberly Barr
In 2019, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses! Below, meet Kimberly Barr who is studying nursing at the University of Missouri, “Mizzou!”
What is/are your favorite Beachwaver product(s)?
I have so many favorite products, however, my all-time favorite Beachwaver product is the BRB Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner. I saw a difference with my hair within only a few days of using it! It also smells so good when I use it, like I am on the beach!
What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
My favorite part of being a member of the Beachwaver’s Campus Wave is the networking involved. The Campus Wave ambassadors are from all over the United States. I have met so many amazing young ladies and I am able to network with them using social media platforms. Thanks to this program, I have new friends all over the nation and I am making connections each and every day within this role. I also love making income from this program. With the money I made, I was able to study abroad in Costa Rica!
What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
Ten years from now I will be working as a neonatal nurse in a hospital! Outside of work, I hope to be representing various companies on Instagram as an influencer like I do now!
What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
My biggest obstacle was my job as a caddie on the golf course. Being the most girly girl I was in a totally opposite environment from my everyday life. Mirroring the experienced caddies, I put on my best game face, showed up prepared, and built my confidence. I discovered I was more than able to do the job, excel, and create personal relationships.
What is your life motto?
“Your patience is your power”
How do you define success?
Success is accomplishing the goals that you have created for yourself. Don’t wait for the opportunity to show up, make the opportunity for yourself!
What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
Growing up I had a bob for the longest time. That trend was definitely different from what I like now. Currently, I have super long hair because I love to create different styles and looks, especially for my pageants.
