Making Waves on Campus with MELANIE FUIFUI
In 2019, Beachwaver launched our college ambassador program, the Campus Wave! Each month, campus reps get a box full of Beachwaver goodies to help spread the word about The Beachwaver Co. on their campuses!
Below, meet Melanie Fuifui who is studying at I.T.S. Academy of Beauty. Melanie also served seven years in the United States Army as an Automated Logistics Specialist, & also attends Cameron University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership with a Concentration in Business.
What is your favorite Beachwaver product?
My favorite Beachwaver Products are the Good Vibes Shampoo & Conditioner, Braid Balm, and the Beachwaver Pro 1!
What is your favorite part of being a member of Beachwaver’s Campus Wave?
My favorite part about being a Campus Wave rep is that I can serve strong businesswomen who believe in responsible hair care! I am supporting a hard-working group of women making big moves in the beauty industry, which I aspire to do one day. I can also show people sustainable, cruelty-free products formulated right here in the USA and show them how to use them properly. I also love being a part of Campus Wave because now I feel I am a part of a new family, and I have friends that I didn't have before. I got to step out of my comfort zone and build some confidence.
What do you expect to be doing 10 years from now?
Ten years from now, I expect to be a world-renowned Hairstylist, Trichologist & Entrepreneur, owning a Beautique (Beauty Supply Store and Boutique) and owning a Full-service Salon.
What is an obstacle you’ve faced, and how did you get through?
One obstacle I faced in life is both stillborn and Infant Loss. My sleeping Angel was born in August of 2019, and I went through infant loss in October 2011. I am still persevering through it all. Losing a child is one of the hardest things I have ever experienced in my life, but I have to keep going strong for my living children, husband, and pay it forward and help someone else going through the same thing or something similar.
What is your life motto?
“Whoever pursues righteousness as love, finds life prosperity and honor.” -Proverbs 21:21
How do you define success?
Success is accomplishing my goals and dreams without losing who I am, fulling the purpose that God has set for me, and making a positive impact in this world, no matter how big or small.
What’s the craziest hair trend you ever rocked?
The craziest hair trend I ever rocked was a Jheri Curl as a kid!
As a Campus Rep, Melanie was offered the opportunity to donate products to her charity of choice!
I will be donating products to Stillborn and Infant Loss Support, SAILS.
