Beachwaver Adopts a Beach!

For team Beachwaver, protecting our beaches is a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts. So in honor of National Beach Day, we partnered with the Alliance for the Great Lakes to adopt a beach on Lake Michigan! Our Beachwaver squad had a blast spending the day helping to keep Lake Michigan clean—here’s a look at our day cleaning up Waukegan Municipal Beach!

The whole crew came out for our third annual adopt-a-beach, in partnership with the Alliance for the Great Lakes.

The 5 Great Lakes are the world’s largest freshwater system!

They supply 21% of the world’s suitable drinking water!

And 90% of North Americans' water.

We <3 helping to keep the Great Lakes shorelines healthy, safe, and beautiful!

Part of the beach clean-up involves tallying which type of garbage we find on the beach.

This data helps the Alliance for the Great Lakes develop solutions to pollution problems around the lakes.
